Your data, in plain words.
Beta privacy note · October 2026. A full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service will replace this before Vektr opens to the public.
Vektr never sells your data, and never shares it with employers, recruiters or advertisers.
Vektr is in an invite-only beta. You're trusting us early, so this page says exactly what happens to what you give it.
What Vektr keeps
- Your account: your name, email address, and the settings you choose.
- Your career profile: what you tell Vektr during onboarding and afterwards (your experience, what you want next, your dealbreakers), written up as a profile you can read and edit.
- The roles you bring in and Vektr's analysis of each, plus your notes, your stages (applied, interviewing…) and your choices (Interested, Not for me, and why).
- A list of the job emails you forward: the date, sender, subject and the jobs found in each.
- Beta feedback you send from the feedback tab.
- A cost record of each AI step run for your account, so we can keep Vektr affordable.
What Vektr doesn't keep
- Uploaded and pasted text (a résumé, a bio, a LinkedIn export) is read to build your profile. Vektr keeps the text it read and uses it to write your profile and to guide your setup interview. The files themselves are not kept. A LinkedIn export is opened inside your own browser.
- The text of forwarded emails is deleted as soon as Vektr has read it (an email that couldn't be read is kept up to 3 days so it can be tried again). Your own mailbox keeps the original.
Who helps Vektr do the work
Vektr uses a few outside services to run. Each gets only what its job needs:
- An AI provider reads your profile, job descriptions and forwarded emails to write Vektr's analysis. It doesn't use this data to train its models.
- A database provider stores your information, and a hosting and email provider runs the website and receives your forwarded emails.
- Web search providers receive an employer's name and a job title when Vektr looks for a full job description. Never your name or profile.
- A logo service receives a company's web address, to show its logo.
- If you use the microphone to answer, your browser's own speech recognition turns it into text.
What's shared between members
Public facts about jobs and companies are shared, so Vektr only has to look each one up once. Nothing about you, your profile, your analysis or your notes is shared.
Who can see your account
Only you. If you ask for help, you can let Vektr's support see your account, read-only, for 24 hours; you turn that on yourself, and every look is logged.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile and settings at any time.
- To get a copy of your information, or to have your account and everything in it deleted, tell us in the feedback tab or reply to the person who invited you. During the beta we do this by hand; buttons for both are coming.
- Backup copies of the database clear on their own schedule after a deletion.
